35 Lakh Worth of Illegal Liquor Seized in Hazaribag, One Arrested

Hazaribag: Police have made a significant bust, seizing illegal foreign liquor worth ₹35 lakh and arresting one suspect. The operation was carried out based on a tip-off received by Police Superintendent Arvind Kumar Singh. Acting on this information, the police raided the Harudag village in the Katkamdag police area and seized 9,500 bottles of counterfeit foreign liquor.

The arrested suspect, Christopal Hans, is believed to be involved in smuggling and illegal sale of liquor, causing significant loss to the state’s revenue. Local residents have praised the police’s efforts, and the authorities have made it clear that they will not tolerate illegal drug and alcohol trade in the district.

This operation was led by SDPO Amit Kumar and involved several police officers, including Police Inspector Vinod Kumar from Pelawal, and Assistant Inspectors Pankaj Kumar and Nishant Kerketta from Katkamdag. The police’s swift action has sent a strong message to liquor smugglers in the area, sparking fear among the illicit traders. The police have vowed to continue such operations to curb the illegal liquor trade in the region.
