JMM to Showcase Power at Foundation Day Celebration
JMM is preparing for a grand 53rd Foundation Day celebration on February 4th at Dhanbad’s Golf Ground. The event, aimed at showcasing the party’s strength, will feature key leaders like Chief Minister Hemant Soren. Preparations include large banners, arches, and a midday schedule, marking a shift from past evening events.
Ranchi: Excited by their overwhelming return to power in Jharkhand, JMM (Jharkhand Mukti Morcha) leaders are gearing up to make this year’s Foundation Day celebration a memorable event. The party plans to use the occasion to display its strength, with preparations already in full swing. The Foundation Day event will take place on February 4th at the Golf Ground in Dhanbad, and the buzz is palpable across both urban and rural areas. From city squares to village lanes, the region is being decorated with green JMM flags. Leaders at the block and district levels are working day and night to ensure the event stands out.
Preparations for JMM’s Foundation Day at Dhanbad Golf Ground
For its 53rd Foundation Day, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha is making special arrangements. With the party in power, the event is expected to be grand. A large pandal (tent) is being set up at the Golf Ground, and the bamboo work for the structure has been completed. The entrance will feature a grand arch dedicated to the memory of Durga Sooren, and two additional arches will be set up at key points—one at the main entrance and another at Sarai Dhela, near the road leading from the Golg Ground. Several large banners and hoardings featuring prominent party leaders have been placed across the city.
Key Leaders to Attend, Including Chief Minister
On February 4th, JMM’s working president, Hemant Soren, who is also the Chief Minister of Jharkhand, will be the main speaker at the event. Due to health issues, the party’s central president, Shibu Soren, might not attend this year’s celebrations. Apart from the Chief Minister, the event will also see the presence of prominent leaders such as MLA Kalpana Soren from Gandey, Ministers Sudivya Kumar Sonu and Yogendra Mahato, and several MPs and MLAs from the region.
Event to Begin in the Afternoon
Unlike previous years, when the JMM Foundation Day celebration would go on until late at night, this year’s event will begin at 1 PM and conclude by evening. JMM Secretary Mannu Alam confirmed the revised schedule, adding that workers from Dhanbad and neighboring districts will also participate in the celebration.
