Missing Jharkhand Youth Found in Bangladesh After 5 Years, Family’s Hope Rekindled; MP Vijay Hansda Promises Help

Sahibganj: Five years after going missing from his village in Sahibganj, Jharkhand, 16-year-old Safiyaan Momin was found wandering in Bangladesh. This discovery has sparked new hope in his family. A video recently showed Safiyaan looking mentally disturbed, with Bangladeshi police providing him food and clean clothes.

His parents, Jamshed Momin and Zarina Bibi, who had almost lost hope of finding their son, are now seeking help from the authorities. Zarina had searched for Safiyaan in various cities, spending a lot of money and even seeking help from spiritual healers, but without success.

Safiyaan had previously gone missing due to mental health issues but returned after three days. However, his second disappearance in 2020 left his family in despair.

After learning that Safiyaan is in Bangladesh, local leaders and representatives reached out to Rajmahal MP Vijay Hansda, asking for help to bring him back. The MP has assured the family that efforts will be made to safely return Safiyaan to his home.
