Tiger Returns to Dalma: Paw Prints Discovered, Panic Grips Villages

A tiger has returned to Dalma Wildlife Sanctuary, sparking panic in nearby villages after paw prints were found, with wildlife officials working to track its movements.

A tiger, which had previously roamed across various regions, has returned to the Dalma Wildlife Sanctuary in Jamshedpur, sparking fear among local villagers. The big cat, originally from the Palamu Tiger Reserve, was spotted in the nearby areas of Kookadhu and Opo villages in Patmada’s Gobarghushi Panchayat, where several paw prints were found. Wildlife officials who reached the scene confirmed that the prints belong to the tiger.

In addition to the paw marks, several villagers have reported hearing the tiger’s roar, further escalating the sense of panic. The first to spot the tracks were local residents Vrikodhar Sabar and Ajit Singh, who promptly alerted the community. The forest department has issued a warning to the villagers to remain vigilant.

Despite the alarming signs, no reports have emerged of the tiger attacking livestock or other animals. The forest department has placed tracking cameras in several locations across the area to monitor the animal’s movements. Currently, the tiger’s location has been traced back to Dalma, where efforts to track it continue.

This is the same tiger that was recently seen moving through the forests near Chakandil’s Tulgram-Khunti region before crossing into West Bengal’s Belpahadi area. After making its way through Purulia, the tiger has now returned to Dalma.

Authorities are working tirelessly to trace the animal’s exact movements and ensure the safety of local residents while also focusing on the well-being of the tiger.
