Deadly Clash in Keda Veer Forest: Naxal Killed, Two Injured as Security Forces Strike Back

Chaibasa: A clash between security forces and Naxals occurred in the Keda Veer forest of Jharkhand’s West Singhbhum district, resulting in the death of one Naxal and the injury of two others, including a security personnel. The encounter took place around 3 a.m. today when the Jharkhand Police and CoBRA 209 Battalion troops entered the forest for a search operation against the Naxals.

As soon as the security forces entered the forest, the Naxals opened fire. The security personnel retaliated, leading to the death of one Naxal. Two individuals were injured in the encounter, one of whom is a security personnel.

The security forces also recovered two INSAS rifles from the site. Police officials confirmed the encounter and stated that the operation is ongoing, with a search campaign continuing in the area to eliminate Naxals.

West Singhbhum’s Superintendent of Police, Ashutosh Shekhar, provided details about the encounter and mentioned that additional teams of security forces were dispatched to the location. The injured personnel have been sent to the hospital for treatment, and their condition is reported to be stable.
