Giridih Police Takes Action Based on Confidential Tip, Arrests Two Naxals

Giridih police arrested two CPI (Maoist) members, a couple, in Tesafuli. Weapons were seized during the raid, dealing a major blow to the Maoist organization.

Pirtaand (Giridih): Giridih police achieved a significant breakthrough on Tuesday by arresting two Naxals who were active members of the CPI (Maoist) organization for a long time. The arrested Naxals are a married couple, Talveshwar Jamua and Malti Murmu. Both were associated with the armed group led by Prayag Manjhi. This operation has dealt a major blow to the Maoist organization.

SSP Operations Surjeet Kumar shared details in a press conference at the Madhuban police station, stating that the police had received a confidential tip-off that a Maoist group was operating in the Tesafuli area. Acting on this information, a special team was formed, which successfully carried out a raid and arrested the two Naxals.

During the arrest, a pistol, two live cartridges, and two 9mm bullets were recovered from Talveshwar’s jacket. Both Naxals have been sent to judicial custody.

ASP Operations Surjeet Kumar mentioned that Talveshwar is a resident of Ganiyadih in the Jamua police station area, while Malti Murmu, also known as Guddi, hails from Tesafulli in the Madhuban region. Both arrested Naxals admitted that they were members of Prayag Manjhi’s group and were working for it.

The operation was carried out under the leadership of ASP Surjeet Kumar, with active involvement of CRPF’s Daljit Singh Bhati, SDPO Sumit Prasad, CRPF’s Manoj Yadav, Madhuban Police Station In-Charge Jagannath Pan, and Pirtaand Police Station In-Charge Dipesh Kumar.
