Ranchi / Dumka, On the occasion of the 76th Republic Day, Governor Santosh Gangwar hoisted the national flag at the historic Morabadi Ground in Ranchi, while Chief Minister Hemant Soren unfurled the tricolor at the Police Line Ground in Dumka. Both venues featured captivating tableaux that were widely appreciated by the audience. In their speeches, the Governor and Chief Minister highlighted Jharkhand’s achievements, developmental plans, and future goals.

Governor Emphasizes the Constitution and Good Governance

Addressing the gathering, Governor Santosh Gangwar said, “Our democracy is the largest and most vibrant in the world. Its foundation lies in our Constitution, which serves as a guiding light for every citizen and elected representative.” He urged elected officials to fulfill their duties in accordance with the Constitution.

Highlighting good governance as the key to a successful democracy, the Governor stated that the state government is committed to fulfilling its responsibilities towards its citizens and ensuring a prosperous Jharkhand.

Discussing the state’s progress in agriculture, he said, “Jharkhand is an agrarian state, and both the central and state governments are dedicated to empowering farmers.” He mentioned initiatives like the Jharkhand Agricultural Loan Waiver Scheme, MGNREGA, and the Birsa Crop Scheme, which are strengthening the rural economy and providing essential support to farmers.

Chief Minister Hemant Soren Reaffirms Commitment to Public Service

In Dumka, Chief Minister Hemant Soren paid tribute to Jharkhand’s freedom fighters, saying, “Even before the first war of independence in 1857, Jharkhand’s land witnessed historic struggles against injustice and oppression. The tales of great personalities like Birsa Munda, Siddho-Kanhu, and others continue to inspire us.”

He added, “The love and trust of the people of Jharkhand have increased our responsibilities manifold. We are working with double the enthusiasm to meet the expectations of the people.” The Chief Minister emphasized his government’s focus on women’s empowerment and employment generation.

The Chief Minister highlighted transformative schemes like the Meinyan Samman Yojana and Savitri Bai Phule Kishori Samriddhi Yojana, which have provided economic independence and dignity to women and adolescent girls. He also spoke about initiatives like the Palash brand and Sakhi Mandals, which have empowered rural women economically.

On the employment front, the Chief Minister said that the government has initiated the recruitment process for 46,000 posts through the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission and Public Service Commission. He assured that many of these recruitments are in the final stages and that the state is committed to securing the rightful opportunities for the people of Jharkhand in these appointments.
